Stone from Italy

VeyraStone currently records Italy as the origin country for five approved profiles: four white commercial marbles and Classic Roman Travertine. The group includes different veining, background and pore structures. Italy supports identity and sourcing context, but current quarry, lot, treatments, testing, availability, fabrication and commercial scope still require written evidence.

How to shortlist Stone from Italy

Calacatta Gold, Bianco Carrara, Statuario and Arabescato Corchia represent distinct white marble directions, while Classic Roman Travertine adds warm linear and porous character. Their shared country does not make them substitutes. Compare commercial identity, visual scale, application, maintenance and material behavior, and specify whether the brief requires an exact name or allows an approved alternative.

Variation and evidence

Country cannot establish the extraction district, quarry, block, slab background, vein density, pores, resin, mesh, repairs, fill or current dimensions. Pale Italian stones are particularly sensitive to lighting and image balance. Request identifiable current-lot imagery and samples, and disclose treatments. For bookmatching or continuous areas, review the actual layout and usable yield.

Project confirmation

Define material, application, finish, dimensions, quantity, destination, needed date and required provenance or test documents. Address marble acid exposure and travertine pore or fill questions according to the selected profile. Confirm supplier, processing, inspection, packing, shipment and commercial exclusions rather than assuming that an Italian origin label defines quality or availability.

Written confirmation

What to include in the next brief.

  1. Confirm exact commercial name, quarry context if required, lot, treatments, layout, evidence, packing and quotation scope.
  2. Request supplier, lot, quarry or regional provenance at the level required by the project.
  3. Tie current images, samples, reports, packing and shipment documents to identifiable material.
  4. Record processing, inspection, Incoterm, destination, schedule, replacement and commercial responsibilities.

Procurement note

A material name is the start of selection, not the final specification.

Confirm the actual lot, visual range, finish, dimensions, fabrication scope, test documents, quantity, packing, destination, timing, and commercial terms in writing.
