How to shortlist Travertine
Classic Roman Travertine and Silver Travertine provide distinct warm and cool visual starting points. Travertine may be cut to emphasize linear bedding or a more clouded cross section, and pores can be open or filled depending on the intended finish. Those choices materially change appearance and maintenance, so the profile name alone is not a complete surface specification.
Variation and evidence
Pore size, density, banding, color range, fill material, fill color and surface texture vary by lot and processing. Filler and exposed voids can respond differently to traffic, water, weather and cleaning. Current profile imagery is conceptual; request actual pieces or representative samples that show the proposed cut, fill and finish under project-relevant lighting and exposure.
Project confirmation
For floors, stairs, paving, walls or facades, define interior or exterior conditions, wetting, freeze-thaw, drainage, traffic, slip criteria, dimensions, setting or anchorage and maintenance. Request applicable material evidence and coordinate joints, movement, substrate and installation with qualified parties. The selected fill and finish should be approved as part of the current-lot review.
