Brown Stone

Brown stone profiles in the current catalogue include Dark Emperador marble and Tan Brown granite. One uses warm brown with lighter veining; the other combines a dark field with brown crystalline movement. The color tag connects these visual directions but does not make their material behavior, finish, pattern scale, maintenance, lot range or project applications equivalent.

How to shortlist Brown Stone

Brown can support warm architectural schemes, timber coordination and lower-contrast visual fields, but the two profiles deliver that direction differently. Dark Emperador presents marble veining and a calcite-rich material context; Tan Brown presents a crystalline granite pattern. Compare the desired scale, reflectance and adjacent finishes before deciding whether color similarity is more important than material-family differences.

Variation and evidence

The balance of dark background, brown areas, light veins or crystals can vary between lots and pieces. Polished surfaces may deepen saturation, while honed or leathered finishes can soften contrast. Resin, fissures, repairs and edges may also affect appearance. Current full-slab images and finish samples are required to establish the acceptable range for a coordinated installation.

Project confirmation

Define the application, exposure, cleaning, finish, piece size, seams and required maintenance. Do not transfer working-surface or exterior assumptions from the granite profile to the marble profile or vice versa. Request material-specific evidence, current dimensions and fabrication requirements, and have the responsible team approve the selected lot and complete assembly.

Written confirmation

What to include in the next brief.

  1. Compare current lots of each material family and approve brown range, pattern, finish, use and care expectations.
  2. Describe the required background, undertone, accents, contrast, pattern scale and finish.
  3. Review identifiable current-lot images and representative samples under project-relevant lighting.
  4. Record acceptable variation, layout, seam and replacement-piece criteria before fabrication.

Procurement note

A material name is the start of selection, not the final specification.
