Black Stone
Black stone profiles range from near-uniform dark granite to marble with contrasting veins and granite with brown or metallic mineral character. VeyraStone currently links four approved profiles to this family. The tag helps find dark materials, but depth, reflectance, inclusions, veining, finish sensitivity, dust visibility and current-lot consistency require separate review.

How to shortlist Black Stone
Nero Marquina introduces white veining through a black marble field, Black Galaxy adds reflective mineral points, Indian Absolute Black targets a quieter dark granite direction, and Tan Brown combines black with warm brown crystals. These are not interchangeable black surfaces. The intended mood depends on pattern scale, light, joints, finish and the size of the installed pieces.
Variation and evidence
Polishing can deepen a dark field and reflect light, while honed, leathered or flamed finishes can reveal a different grey level or texture. Dust, fingerprints, water marks, resin and surface treatments may be more visible on some dark finishes. Current-lot media and a finish sample are needed to judge acceptable uniformity, vein or crystal distribution and edge appearance.

Define whether the design seeks uniform black, visible veining, metallic points or warm crystalline contrast. Record finish, lighting, cleaning, water exposure and maintenance expectations. For joined panels or long runs, review piece coordination and seam appearance. Confirm material-specific technical evidence when the project relies on exterior, traffic or working-surface performance.
