Artificial Stone Sourcing

Sintered Stone Sourcing

VeyraStone does not currently publish an approved sintered-stone product profile. A sourcing request should identify the manufacturer and product, decorative face, finish, slab or panel format, thickness, application, substrate, fabrication responsibility, destination and required documents. Performance, exterior use, installation, warranty, availability and price must be verified from current product-specific evidence.

Begin with manufacturer and product identity

Sintered surfaces vary by manufacturer, composition, production method, thickness, finish, reinforcement and intended use. Do not treat the category name as a specification. Record the full product code, collection, face or pattern, nominal size and market. When alternatives are permitted, define the documentary and visual equivalence criteria the project team will use to accept or reject them.

Coordinate format and fabrication

Large-format panels require product-specific handling, support, cutting, edge, opening and installation instructions. State the finished piece dimensions, substrate, joints, edge exposure, cut-outs and responsible fabricator. Request the manufacturer's current technical manual and confirm whether the proposed fabricator and installer accept the product, tools, tolerances and site conditions before material is ordered.

Confirm documents and commercial scope

List any required test reports, declarations, fire or facade documentation, environmental information, care instructions and warranty. Specify quantity, packing, destination, inspection, needed date and replacement-piece strategy. The sourcing response should distinguish manufacturer statements from independent review and should not convert an unverified brochure claim into a VeyraStone performance promise.

Written confirmation

What to include in the next brief.

  1. Name manufacturer, product, face, finish, nominal format, thickness and intended market.
  2. Define application, substrate, joints, cut-outs, edges, fabrication and installation responsibility.
  3. Request current technical manuals, tests, declarations, care information and warranty terms.
  4. Confirm sample, quantity, packing, destination, needed date and replacement strategy.

Evidence basis
